5^th Graders at Whispering Oak are eligible to be a Safety Patrol at our school. Students are nomiated by staff members and there is certain criterion that they are required to maintain in order to be a Safety Patrol. This is a leadership role that responsible and dedicated students take on.

AM POSTS- 8:10-8:40

Safety Patrols must be at your post with your patrol belt on by 8:10 every morning. Parents drop off between 8:00-8:10 a.m. at the front of the school. Patrols remain in the front of the building until a captain opens the door. Most posts will last until 8:30; Car Riders may go a little later. Once the Safety Patrol post is finished, students go immediately to their classroom.

PM POSTS- 3:00-3:15

Safety Patrols go to their PM POST when their teacher dismisses them. Safety Patrols remain at their posts until all students have cleared from the area or at 3:15, whichever one comes first.
